Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum

 

This is one of India’s few science museums. It was made in the memory of Sir M. Vishweshwariah. This notable person worked hard to bring science and technology to the common man. This museum was a dream of his. A steam engine and an airplane are displayed in its compound. There is a great deal of information on any aspect of technology from five different galleries available in an easily understandable way. You will get to know about the scientific development from the very primitive days to today’s modern world. Among the many exhibits in the museum, there is one in which you can even monitor and hear the cadence of your own voice inside the museum. This museum is situated at Kasturba Road and remains open from 10a.m. to 5-30p.m

Government Museum  

This is one of the oldest museums of the country and was established in 1886. It’s different sections include natural history, art, geology, sculpture. This museum poses a great collection of specimens of the civilization of Harappa and Mohenjodaro. Even several prehistoric specimens of Neolithic period are found here. The museum also houses terra cotta works from West Bengal, contemporary and modern paintings. The museum building is also beautifully designed with Corinthian columns. A tour to this museum will feed your historic interests as well as your psychological need.

HAL Aerospace Museum

 

it is the second largest Aeronautical Museum in the country with rare display aircrafts, plus a gallery of rare photographs that chronicles the history of Indian Aviation.
